HOW DOES IT WORK

The CryoPen emits a fine jet of nitrous oxide under high pressure, which allows the aesthetician to work with millimetre precision. This destroys the tissue by freezing the inter-cellular fluid, forming ice shards and crystals which rupture the membrane; thereby destroying the cell. It’s so incredibly accurate, that there is no collateral damage to surrounding healthy tissue.

CryoPen uses a precise stream of nitrous oxide gas which is extremely cold. This helps to freeze and destroy the targeted skin imperfection.

No. Little to no discomfort is experienced. An experience similar to a ball point pen being pressed on the skin. Some describe it as a brief sting.

Cryopen is safe. One of the significant advantages CryoPen has over other cryotherapy devices is it’s millimetre accuracy. No surround tissue is damaged.

A CryoPen treatment only takes 5 to 25 seconds depending on the desired treatment area, so you can be in and out of the clinic quickly!

In the unlikely event a blister does form following a crypoen treatment we recommend applying an antiseptic cream. When the blister leaks or bursts it should then be covered with a plaster to prevent infection. Blistering will not affect the outcome of the treatment.

Most skin tags fall off within a few days, but can take as long as 10 days. A follow-up treatment may be required. Follow-up treatments are only €30

Pigmentation will darken, crust and fall off.

SPF should be used daily to prevent recurrence of pigmentation.

The skin may look red, possibly raised and cold. The area should not be touched and will go darker.

The are may then crust and the lesion fall off.

The day after your treatment, you should wash the treated area with gentle, fragrance-free soap and water, pat dry. This should be done everyday.

Yes, but pat dry afterwards.

Using Vaseline or Aquaphor on the treated area will help healing and prevent any dryness from occurring. This should be done everyday for two weeks.

We also advise that you wear SPF 48+ daily after your CryoPen treatment.

Cryopen treatment cost €50 for up to 5 lesions and €10 per lesion thereafter.  A follow-up treatment maybe required. This cost €30 and €5 per additional lesion past the first 5.
